Montpelier Recreation Department is excited to start hosting outdoor pickleball session out on Elm St. Tennis Courts. All levels are invited to play. (Beginner, Beg/Inter, Intermediate, & Inter/Advanced)
We encourage players to use 2 of the 4 outdoor courts; 12 player max. (6 players per court). If more come to play and there is room on the courts, you may definitely use another court as well. Bring your own paddle and balls.

There will be Tennis Lessons using 2 courts July 27 - 31, 2026 while the Pool Courts are getting repaired.

What are pool courts? Are there any plans to create dedicated pickleball courts? The summer is lost to tennis camp, which renders them inaccessible to those of us who pay taxes and live on Elm Street.
The Pool Courts are for either Tennis or Pickleball. Tennis lessons end by 12:30. After 12:30 the courts become first come first serve for either Tennis or Pickleball. If anyone wants a dedicated time for the court you would need to reserve and pay for the time rented. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello Everyone,
The High School Tennis courts will be closed July 23 and 24, 2026 from 8:30am - 12:30pm. The Rec Tennis Lessons will be using the 2 Tennis courts due to repairs being done on the Recreation Tennis courts.

The tennis camp uses all four courts at the Rec Field; there's like 30 kids
I heard there is 1 court available.

Montpelier Recreation runs Spring Tennis Clinics for youth Tuesday - Thursday; betweeenm 3:00pm - 5:00pm
May - early June.
Summer Tennis Camps start June 24 and will go through August 23, 2024
Courts will not be available between the hours of 9am - 12pm during Tennis Camp hours.
Pickleball Sessions:
Sessions are organized through the Rec Dept. located at 55 Barre St. If you wish to add an event/session at our Elm St. Courts location, please come by the Rec Center during open hours. We will be happy to assit you.
